  • Five inputs from the welcome: match %, max amount, wager, win cap, and whether the wallet is sticky.
  • D+B is first turned into an equivalent bonus-only multiple. 25× D+B at 100% is 50× B.
  • A listed win cap can only pull the blend down. A missing welcome stays off a number.
  • Root Score is not Ranger’s mark. One is the terms. One is the cashier.

It is not an average of vibes

Root Score is the equal mean of four curves — match, amount, wager, and win cap when one is listed — then a couple of latches. Each curve is a straight line through fixed anchors. The plate you see is that mean, rounded to one decimal. A house with a door and no scorable welcome wears No Welcome Offer instead of a number.

Five inputs from the welcome

The score reads the first-drop welcome, not the four-stage billboard. Match percent. Max bonus amount in euro or dollar. The published wagering multiplier. Whether that multiplier sits on the bonus alone (B) or on deposit plus bonus (D+B). Whether the wallet is sticky. Whether a win cap is listed, as a multiple. And whether the house pays you out in unlock steps as you play the deposit — a pre-wager unlock ladder, not a sticky bonus balance.

Wagering is the trunk — as eff × B

Headline percentages are decoration. The multiplier is the trunk. Before the wager curve runs, D+B is rewritten as a bonus-only equivalent: multiply by (1+p)/p, where p is the match as a fraction. 100% means p=1, so 25× D+B is 50× B, and 35× D+B is 70× B. The curve then reads that equivalent: 40× B or kinder is a 10. 50× B is 8.5. 70× B is 5.5. Above 50 the drop is steep. A 20× bonus-only welcome still outranks a 40× welcome of the same size. 200% at 40× D+B has never outranked 100% at 30× B.

Non-sticky is a lift, not a rewrite

Sticky glues the deposit to the bonus. You finish the bar or you forfeit both. Non-sticky keeps two wallets: you can take the cash and leave the bonus on the floor. After the wager curve, a non-sticky welcome adds 2.5, capped at 10. It sweetens a hard bar. It does not turn a 70× grind into a gift.

A win cap can only lower the blend

No listed cap on the match does not raise the number. That slot simply takes the mean of match, amount, and wager — no lift. A listed cap is scored as its own attribute: about 5× on the bonus funds sits near 1. The four-way mean is then compared with the uncapped three-way mean, and only the lower figure is kept. A generous cap never inflates a chest that would have scored higher without one.

Pre-wager unlock ladders

Some rooms never park a sticky bonus balance. They unlock cash in steps as you play through the deposit — a ladder, not a locked wallet. After the blend, that structure takes two points off the overall, and the floor of the scale is 1. It is a different product from a classic match. The plate says so.

The floor

If two or more attributes already sit at 10, and one of those inputs beats the threshold for a 10 by at least a fifth — 240% against a 200% ceiling, €600 against €500, or a bonus-only bar at 32× or kinder — the overall cannot print below 8. A nasty win cap or a pre-wager cut can bruise the mean. It cannot hide a fat, clean welcome under a six.

The exclusive mark

If a chest is Bonusjungle-only, it wears the exclusive badge. That is the whole announcement. Exclusive means the path is ours. It does not mean the terms got nicer. Every other offer is still scored the same way — match, amount, wager, cap, wallet.

The score is not the ranger

Root Score is the arithmetic of the bonus. Ranger’s mark is whether we actually walked the house. Last sap is when we last checked the terms. A 9.4 with a week-old sap is more useful than a 9.8 nobody has cashed out of.
