The max-bet trap
A €5 line in the PDF is not a suggestion. Raising the stake ‘to see the book’ is the most common way a cleared bar gets voided.

Qué quedarse
- The max-bet number is a latch. Go over it and the house can void the bonus, the winnings, or both.
- Raising the stake to see the book or Zeus is the usual trapdoor. Dead spins are the product, not a signal to size up.
- Ante raises the effective stake. A €4 spin plus 25% ante is not €4.
- Stay under the stated max bet. A leftover convert waits until the bar is small — at the legal stake.
- We print the line on the chest. Last sap is the day we last read the live terms.
The line in the PDF
Most chests in this vault print a max bet around €5 while the bonus is active. Some print €2. Some print a percentage of the bonus. The number is a latch, not a vibe. Go over it and the house can void the bonus, the winnings, or both. ‘I was about to finish the bar’ is not an argument the cashier accepts.
How people step over it
They raise the stake to see the book. They raise it to see Zeus. They raise it because the last twenty spins were dead — dead spins are the product on a high-volatility file, not a signal to size up. Book of Dead has no bonus buy in the original file. People still bust the chest on max stake. The slot notes already say this. This page is the clause behind those notes.
Ante is a stake
Gates of Olympus and Sweet Bonanza ship an ante on some operator builds. Ante raises the effective stake. If the T&Cs cap the bet, ante can put you over the line without the bet selector moving. Read the bonus PDF and the game info panel. If they disagree, the PDF wins.
What to do instead
Stay under the stated max bet. If the remaining playthrough is four figures, pick a quieter slot from the games note (/guides/wager-games) — Starburst (/slots/starburst), not a book. If you want a convert, wait until the bar is small, then open Gates (/slots/gates-of-olympus) or a book (/slots/book-of-dead) at the legal stake. The convert is a leftover tool. It is not a reason to size up.
Where it sits in the jungle
Root Score already prices time-to-clear and cashout caps. Max bet is a void risk, not a Root Score knob. We print it on the chest. Last sap is the day we last read the live terms. If the operator moved the line, the old card is suspect.
