Brazil’s betting regulator blocked 66,482 illegal domains

Figures released under Brazil’s Access to Information Law, and reported on 11–12 September 2026, put 66,482 illegal betting domains blocked by the Secretariat of Prizes and Betting between 15 January 2025 and 2 September 2026. In the same window the authority records 1,511 profiles taken down.

Those are regulator counts from a public-information request — not a new statute, and not a live crawl by this desk.

Fines decided, not all collected

On decided administrative cases the Secretariat has issued 42 warnings, 20 fines, and one fine combined with a suspension of activities. The fines total R$18.019 million. Of that, R$3.091 million has been collected; R$1.421 million sits in federal active debt.

Five proceedings were closed because the conduct was rectified before a sanction. That is the published process, not a list of named houses on Bonusjungle.

How the block actually moves

The Secretariat identifies irregular platforms. Anatel, the telecoms regulator, orders connectivity providers to block the domains. Licensed Brazilian bookmakers sit on .bet.br. Domain blocks do not, by themselves, move money — a separate 2026 decree path exists for freezing funds at payment firms, which is not this access-to-information dataset.

Why it matters here

This is an enforcement tally in a newly licensed sports-betting market, in the same lane as other illegal-supply notes on the site. Language on Bonusjungle is not a Brazilian licence and is not a list of which domains a reader can still open.
