Sweet Bonanza POP, Pragmatic Play's smaller-grid version of its 2019 candy slot, is scheduled for release on 20 October. It moves the game to a 3×5 pay-anywhere grid, adds multipliers of up to 1,000× in free spins and three fixed jackpots, and the studio lists an RTP of 97.05%.
Pragmatic Play lists Sweet Bonanza POP for release on 20 October 2026. It is the latest title in Pragmatic Play POP, the sub-brand that replaced Fat Panda this summer, and it squeezes the 2019 Sweet Bonanza onto a 3×5 grid. Wins still pay anywhere and winning symbols still tumble away, but the free spins now carry multipliers of up to 1,000× and a trigger can award one of three fixed jackpots. The studio's game page lists an RTP of 97.05%.

How it works
- Grid and wins: 5 to 9 or more matching symbols anywhere on the 3×5 grid pay, with base wins of up to 50× the bet. Winning symbols tumble away and new ones drop in, so one spin can pay more than once.
- Free spins: any combination of 3 or more lollipop scatters or POP symbols triggers the bonus game with 10 free spins. Landing 3 or 4 more scatters during the round adds 5 or 10 spins.
- Candy bomb multipliers: during free spins, multipliers worth up to 1,000× can land. They stay on the grid through a tumble sequence, and their sum is applied to the total win when the sequence ends.
- POP jackpots: POP symbols that are part of the trigger award a fixed prize at once: one POP symbol pays the 50× Spark jackpot, two pay the 500× Snap jackpot and three pay the 25,000× Burst jackpot.
The numbers
- RTP: 97.05%. That is the studio's figure; casinos can run lower-RTP versions of Pragmatic games (our Gates of Olympus POP page lists three), so check the game's info panel where you play.
- Release: 20 October 2026, per Pragmatic Play's POP roadmap.
How it compares
Next to the original, the changes are easy to see. Our Sweet Bonanza page lists the 2019 game on a 6×5 pay-anywhere grid with free-spin multipliers of 2× to 100×, a studio RTP of 96.49% and a top win of 21,175×. Sweet Bonanza POP halves the grid to 15 positions, raises the multiplier ceiling to 1,000× and adds the jackpot layer. Its layout and RTP match Gates of Olympus POP, which opened the series on 31 August: also 3×5, also pay anywhere, also 97.05%.
A higher RTP is a long-run average across a huge number of spins. It does not make any single session cheaper, and a game built around frequent small hits can still lose money steadily.
What POP is
Pragmatic Play announced at the end of July that its Fat Panda brand would become Pragmatic Play POP. The studio says the range is aimed at casual and beginner players, with simple mechanics, high hit rates and softer, colourful graphics, and that it will remake some of its best-known games. Sharon McHugh, Pragmatic Play's director of public relations, said the brand "represents a lighter, more fun side of our portfolio".
The published roadmap continues with Zeus vs Hades POP on 17 November, Starlight Princess POP on 1 December and Mahjong Wins POP on 15 December.
