New Jersey's online casino and poker sites won $274.8m from players in September 2026, 13.0% more than the $243.1m they won in September 2025. The figures come from the state's Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE), which published its monthly results on 19 October 2026. Over the first nine months of the year, online gaming win reached $2.40bn, up 13.2% on the same period of 2025.

"Win" here means what operators kept after paying out prizes: stakes minus winnings. It is revenue before costs and tax, not profit.

Online casino carries the growth

Almost all of the money comes from online casino games such as slots and table games, which the DGE lists as "Other Authorized Games". They won $272.4m in September, up 13.2%. Online poker, listed as peer-to-peer, won $2.34m, down 5.2%.

In the DGE's brand table, FanDuel won $57.8m online in September (up 2.1%), DraftKings $53.3m (up 9.9%) and BetMGM $35.4m (up 16.7%). Those brand figures cover online casino and poker together.

Land casinos and sportsbooks went the other way

The nine Atlantic City casino hotels won $227.8m in person, 1.3% less than a year earlier. Slot machines did better, up 4.6% to $177.9m, but table games fell 17.6% to $49.9m.

Sports betting revenue dropped 14.3% to $77.0m. The online sportsbook share fell 18.8% to $72.9m. For the year so far, sports betting revenue is $748.4m, down 6.3%.

Put side by side, the online casino and poker win was $47.0m larger than the nine casinos' in-person win in September, by our calculation. That was also the case in September 2025, when online win was $243.1m against $230.7m on the casino floors.

Total gaming revenue across casinos, racetracks and their online partners came to $579.6m, up 2.8%. Online gaming made up about 47% of that total, by our calculation.

What the state collects

New Jersey taxes online gaming win at 19.75%, plus a further 2.5% levy called the Investment Alternative Tax. Together they brought in $61.1m from online gaming in September, according to the DGE's tax table.

Why it matters

New Jersey is one of the few US states where online casino games are legal and regulated, and its monthly reports are one of the clearest public records of how that market is doing. September's numbers keep the 2026 pattern in place: online casino keeps growing at double-digit rates while land-based win is flat and sports betting is down.
