Maverick Games is shutting down. The Ontario casino and sportsbook stopped taking bets on 16 October 2026, and it says all players must withdraw any remaining funds before 2 November 2026. From 2 November the site will no longer be available.
The notice on the homepage is short: "Unfortunately, Maverick Games is going to be shutting down." It gives no reason. Maverick Games is run by Shelgeyr Ontario Limited, which operates under a registration from the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO), and its terms say its games are conducted and managed by iGaming Ontario. Neither the notice nor the terms we read, as of 31 October, mention any regulator action. On 31 October iGaming Ontario's player directory listed Maverick Games, and its operator filter included Shelgeyr Ontario Ltd; the tie between the two comes from Maverick's own terms.

The timeline
| Date | What happens |
|---|---|
| 1 Oct 2026 | No new accounts can be created. |
| 9 Oct 2026 | Deposits disabled for existing players. |
| 16 Oct 2026 | Last day of wagering. No bets accepted afterwards. |
| Before 2 Nov 2026 | Withdraw any remaining funds. |
| 2 Nov 2026 | Site no longer available. |
Your balance
Only your cash balance can be withdrawn. Maverick's terms keep three wallets: a Main Wallet (cash), a Bonus Wallet and a Reward Credits wallet. Bonus Funds cannot be withdrawn until their wagering requirements are met, and Reward Credits are defined as non-withdrawable promotional credits. The terms also say a withdrawal made while you hold active Bonus Funds or Reward Credits forfeits them. Our reading: with wagering closed since 16 October, unfinished bonus wagering cannot now be completed. The closure notice does not say whether any bonus or reward balance was converted to cash.
No wagers have been accepted since 16 October, so there should be nothing left to play. The notice does not say how bets placed before then were settled.
How to withdraw
- Where: log in to your Maverick Games account and request a withdrawal before 2 November.
- Method: the terms say withdrawals go back to the payment method you deposited with where possible. Another method in your name may be used at Maverick's discretion, after it checks you own it.
- Checks: withdrawals are paid only once your account is fully verified, and Maverick may ask for more documents first. Security and anti-money-laundering reviews can delay a payout. If you have not finished verification, do it first.
- Help: email support@maverickgames.com or call 1 289-819-2437. The terms describe phone support as 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
An independent comparison and review site, SportsBettingInOntario.ca, says Maverick paid by Interac e-Transfer, which it calls "the only method the site lists", with no published maximum and no fee, and that withdrawals over C$10,000 are reviewed and approved first, typically within 24 hours. We could not confirm those details on an operator page, so treat them as that site's description.
If you miss 2 November
The notice does not say what happens after the site goes offline. The only operator text is in the general terms: when an account is closed, "any balance remaining in your Account at closure will be returned to you less any outstanding fees or liabilities". The same section lets Maverick withhold funds where the law requires it, the account is negative, or bets or transactions are under investigation for fraud. How a returned balance would be paid after 2 November is not stated. If you are past the deadline, email support@maverickgames.com first and keep a copy of what you send.
Where to complain
Maverick's terms set out the route: raise a complaint with Maverick Games customer support first. If you disagree with its answer, you can escalate to the AGCO through its internet gaming complaints page. The Daily Quest Rewards terms also name both iGaming Ontario and the AGCO as places for unresolved complaints. These routes apply to Ontario players.
Where players can go instead
According to iGaming Ontario, online gambling in Ontario is offered only by operators registered with the AGCO and running under an agreement with iGaming Ontario (OLG.ca aside). You can check a site on iGaming Ontario's list of regulated sites or see the AGCO's page on registered operators, which points to the iGaming Ontario directory. No Bonusjungle Vault house is registered in Ontario, so we name none here.
> For readers outside Ontario: our Vault lists casinos for other markets; choose your country in the filter. These houses are not licensed in Ontario and are not for readers there.
If a site is not available where you live, that is the rule. Do not use a VPN, false details or someone else's account to get round it. And if gambling has stopped feeling like entertainment, a site closing is a good moment to stop rather than move. ConnexOntario offers free help around the clock.
What is still unclear
- Why it is closing: no reason has been published.
- Bonus and reward balances: whether any were converted or paid out at closure. The notice is silent.
- After 2 November: how a remaining balance would be returned, and how to reach Maverick once the site is down.
- Settlement of older bets: the notice does not cover bets placed before 16 October.
For other recent Ontario cases, see the AGCO's CA$200,000 penalty for theScore Bet and PointsBet Canada's two-day suspension. For another closure with a withdrawal deadline, see Betdaq's closure.
